10 things to do during Mabon.

Today is Mabon also known as the Witch’s Thanksgiving and Autumn Equinox. Today is a wonderful day of celebration. Fall reminds us how beautiful letting go is. That death has beauty because it brings a new beginning, a rebirth. Here are 10 things you can do during this harvest energy.

1~ Have a feast outside with family and friends. Sit around a table while you eat soups, breads, (you can even bake your own) apple and pumpkin everything and sweet potato mash are some of the Mabon foods to eat. Watch the sun go down as you embrace the balance between light and dark.

2 ~ With the darkness comes the stars. Sit outside and enjoy the beauty of this darkness as shining stars show you that there is always light shining within. Embrace this energy as you let go and release what isn’t serving your highest good anymore.

3 ~ Go on a nature Walk and mindfully pick up little treasures from Gaia along the way. Go home and make a little Nature board or even a seasonal altar with the things you have gathered.

4 ~ Make a blessing jar. Cut up the paper and write all the blessings that have came into your life through out this year. Give thanks and appreciation for each one as you place them in the jar. You can even get crafty and decorate your jar. Keep it some where so you can see it and appreciate it daily. Light a pink or green candle, these colors represent the heart chakra. Let love flow in.

5 ~ Meditate in nature. Get outside and do some mindful breathing as you enter into your meditation. If you’re able to ground yourself and sit with your back against a tree you’re encourage to do so. As you make your transition so does the tree. This connective appreciation is a good way to connect to this day.

6 ~ Light some candles or incense that have that Fall smell to them. Cinnamon, pumpkin spice, clove, anything that reminds you of Fall when you smell it.

7 ~ Sweep the old energy away in the house, literally. The Broomstick has always been a source of clearing out negative or old stagnant energy. House cleansing is Soul cleansing.

8 ~ Bake an apple or pumpkin pie! This is the traditional harvest season for apples and pumpkins and what yummier way to do it then to bake a pie!

9- Harvest the seeds from your pumpkins & squash to roast and eat, or you can harvest and prepare your seeds to sow in the Spring for next seasons Mabon celebration.

10 ~ Do a gratitude ritual. Light some candles and sit for a moment in gratitude. There are some many things to be thankful for, even our breath! Write them down and say how out loud how thankful you are for all of them. Put your new gratitude journal in a safe space.

May many blessings flow to you. 🍁

17 things to do during the New Moon.

17 things to do during a New Moon.

1 ~ Make a New Moon manifestation jar. (Ours will have dirt to plant the seed/manifestation, different stones, herbs and flowers.) Be creative!

2 ~ Make New Moon water. Set it out under the moon’s energy or in a window sill if you can’t put it outside. Filtered water and preferably in glass. You can add different stones as well for infusion, make sure and look them up because some, like Selenite, can’t be in water and some may be toxic. Wrap your hands around the water and sit with it as you set your New Moon intentions within. Let it sit out until morning.

3 ~ Put your stones out to cleanse them and set new intentions.

4 ~ Write down all the things you want to manifest in your life and put it in your sacred space.

5 ~ If you don’t have a sacred space then create one!

6 ~ Do something creative and new! Think outside your normal box and expand your creative passions. Think of something that feeds your soul and let the creative energy flow.

7 ~ Dance! Free your spirit and allow yourself to feel the beautiful new energy flowing through you as your movement releases any stagnant energy trying to hang on.

8 ~ Create a Vision Board. New Moon. New You! What do you want to create for yourself? A Vision Board is a great daily visualization exercise and also gets your creative energy flowing.

9 ~ Try automatic writing and see what comes through for you. Take a pen and paper, sit somewhere peaceful, take some breaths to connect and ask your higher self to speak to you. Just write whatever comes through and then read and reflect.

10 ~ Enjoy the magical energy Gaia has to offer. Really appreciate her. Embrace your childlike wonder and hug some trees.

11 ~ Play Yahtzee and let the numbers speak to you.

12 ~ Pull some Oracle or Tarot cards or have some pull them for you.

13 ~ Set your New Moon intention and light a candle. Your candle color while depend on the intention you’re setting.

14 ~ Self Care ❤️ Take a bath and do it up! Bath salts, candles, incense, relaxing music, weed/wine, bubbles! What’s your ideal bath? Make it for yourself. You deserve it.

15 ~ Take time to rest, meditate, even sleepitate (that’s when you were trying to meditate and end up falling asleep).

16 ~ Plant something. Become that Earth Mother Plant Goddess.

17 ~ Meet new people. If an invitation comes your way or someone asks you on a date, a New Moon is promising energy for these new beginnings and new relationships.

3 Stages of a Scorpio

It has been said that Scorpios can be broken down into three totems, and this article will explain each one.

Scorpio is probably the most feared sign in the zodiac. This is due to the infamous Scorpio stinger. However, very few people know that the ultimate symbol of a Scorpio is an all-loving dove.

It is said in astrology that Scorpio is the only sign that has three animal totems, unlike the rest of the zodiac signs. One can also view this as the three stages a Scorpio goes through in his/her life.

There are many contentions about what these totems are called. There are also contentions that there are more than three totems. But for the sake of simplicity, one can think of these as the three totems of a Scorpio. They are as follows.

1. Scorpion: The Deadly Stinger

The scorpion is the basic and the least-evolved totem of a Scorpio and is symbolized by a scorpion. Some people also call it the lizard.

Much like an insect, you will find a Scorpio in this stage ruled by emotions and instincts rather than intellect. Scorpios in this category have low self-awareness and low self-control. The most dangerous and vengeful Scorpio belongs to this totem.

If you have seen an absolutely despicable Scorpio, they probably belong to this totem. Talking about vengeance, these are the Scorpios who go to any extent to destroy someone, even if it means at their own cost.

2. Eagle: Flying High in the Sky

This is the second totem of a Scorpio, where one is self-aware of his/her powers. Once a Scorpio has developed sufficient self-awareness and is ruled by intellect rather than instincts and emotions, he/she can choose to use these traits as wanted.

Usually in this stage, most of the Scorpios try to achieve great heights in their career and endeavors. This does not mean that a Scorpio in this totem does not have a stinger. But the way a Scorpio defeats his enemy here is different from that of a basic scorpion.

A Scorpio here is not self-destructive. As a normal eagle would do, a Scorpio would swoop down on his prey, defeat it, and fly back in the air, not looking for complete destruction of the enemy.

Be aware that a Scorpio in this totem can still be manipulative and exploitative.

3. Phoenix and Dove: The Symbol of Peace

This is the totem where the true power of a Scorpio is shown to the world. This is the totem where a Scorpio becomes aware of his/her mystical powers of healing.

While most people consider a Scorpio to be a venomous creature, the true power of a Scorpio lies in healing and spreading peace. That is the ultimate way of exerting one’s power. That is the reason this totem is symbolized by a dove.

But this is not easy. A Scorpio needs to go through a complete transformation to achieve this power. This transformation is symbolized by the phoenix, which burns and rises from its own ashes.

A Scorpio is the only sign in the entire zodiac known to have this power. Hence every transformation in a Scorpio’s life can be symbolized by a phoenix.

Not sure where the article originated from as there are many versions of it out there.
